Why We Plant Trees

Every sapling we raise is meant for the ground, not a shelf. Here is what it does once it gets there.

“ The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago.
The second best time is now.

A planting crew with shovels and bare-root trees
I give shade and cool the air around me. I clean the air by absorbing pollutants and releasing oxygen. I hold the soil together and slow rainwater run-off. I give birds and insects somewhere to live. I make streets and gardens better to walk through. I keep giving back long after the day I am planted.

In Our Own
Words

“Mission: promote sustainability through tree planting. Join us: plant trees, volunteer.” That is the whole of it. We raise the saplings, we organise the drives, and anyone who wants to put a tree in the ground is welcome to come along.
